I’m looking for effective ways to remove sweat smell from T-shirts, especially those that tend to retain odor even after regular washing.

I’ve already tried using OXO-infused washing machine tablets, but the smell still lingers in some shirts.

Has anyone found a reliable method or product that works well for this issue? I’m particularly interested in solutions that are safe for cotton and sports fabrics.

Do vinegar, baking soda, or specific detergents actually help? How about pre-soaking or washing at higher temperatures?

Any personal tips, homemade remedies, or favorite laundry boosters you’d recommend would be much appreciated.

      Thanks in advance!

Try and soak in washing vinegar, overnight then wash as you normally do..

Wash with about a half cup of baking soda only. Then wash again with about a cup of vinegar only.

            Line dry outside.

I added ammonia to my non- bleach detergent. Do not mix ammonia with bleach!!!!

I love Odoban in the eucalyptus scent. I use in lots of different ways, as I work with pets and gross stuff all day

                It has instructions on it.

My favorite shirts started being smelly, so I bought a bottle of Tide Derp Cleansing Rinse.

Poured some right on the armpits and let it sit, then washed with warm water and the Tide in the rinse.

                  It’s been great!

I’ve tried vinegar but think I’ll try the Downey since next. Maybe even peroxide.

The water leaves a lot to be desired

I’ve used Nature’s Miracle (yes, the stuff for pet smell) in a spray bottle, spray the pits until soaked.

Let them sit for at least a couple of hours or overnight.

If it’s white use bleach and Tide. My sons are auto techs and their clothes in the summer were pretty rough when they were still home.

Between the sweat and chemicals, I had tried everything.

I found doubling Tide, warm water, longest wash and second rinse worked. I did the same with undies and socks just with bleach.

Don’t let them stay dirty long or the bacteria will grow and make it worse.

I washed their work clothes every other day.

I’ve tried everything, living in Florida and being very active outside, and I haven’t found anything that works.

                            Vinegar doesn’t touch it!

I’ve tried stripping the clothes as well
