In the past couple months, I have noticed an incredible rise in the cost of dishwashing soap (for dishwashing machines).

I normally buy the least expensive kind in the liquid form at Costco but even that has gone up in price.

Does anyone know of an less expensive alternatives?

There is a new one at dollar tree, in a small white tub. I got the same ones at Ollie’s for $2.50

I buy the Costco brand tablets and it works out to be about $2.50/month, so that seems okay.

Perhaps cut them in half. This was recommended by a guy who fixed our dishwasher a few years back.

I always bought the jumbo box of Cascade at Sam’s club. Only place you can find it now is on Amazon. This 75oz box lasts me about a year.

I run the dishwasher approximately 2x a week.

It’s on sale for 6.24 right now.

Can you use less? Are you running the dishwasher only when full? Sorry I don’t have other suggestions for you.

I use Walmart brand – Great Value dishwasher powder
                  It’s highly rated.
