I keep my grocery budget in check by only buying extremely great deals and meal planning monthly so I thought I would post what we are eating in May. I budget $650 a monthly for all groceries, household and personal care for 2 adults, 2 teens and a little kid.
We are a very active family who try to eat semi healthy. We came in at $598 for all groceries, household, personal etc for April.

FFYSBethanyIt would be helpful if you also included where you are, because there is no way I can get my grocery budget down to 650.
It’s a nice goal to have but I’m in a high cost of living area.
PaulaThis is truly a skill. It takes practice, self discipline, and creativity.
You’re brilliant.
MissyHow do you plan the ingredients for each meal and do you have a system? I’m thinking I’d need a spreadsheet for all these different ingredients, how much, with what meal….and then the menus for each.
Great job
JessicaImpressive! I meal plan weekly based off the kid’s sports schedule. Those are crockpot meal days when games or practices are happening.
I’m not quite to monthly yet, but goals
RebekahThat’s like the best meal plan I’ve seen in my life! It’s diverse, it’s balanced, it’s practical!! Kudos! You are amazing!!
TerryKudos to you! Just how? Family of 5 (youngest barely eats) and we spent $1,200.
We live in Central Maine.
TeriIs there a grocery list for all of this stuff, plus personal and household items?
And where do you live that food is cheap enough to feed 5 people for a month?
MindyI wish I had read this list about 25 years ago when I had boys and a husband to feed.
Fabulous.
