What are your go-to frugal dinner ideas? I’m looking for budget-friendly meals that are still delicious and satisfying.

Bonus points if they’re easy to make with pantry staples or minimal ingredients!

      Any tips or favorite recipes?

A rotisserie chicken… have with sides then shred the remaining meat and portion for other meals (tacos, chicken and stuffing casserole, white chili…).

Boil the carcuss for bone broth. Strain and freeze for later use.

Try following SouthernFrugalMomma on YouTube. She does videos for $5 dollar dinners which are pretty easy to follow. Dollar Tree Dinners is also another good channel to follow!

Mandy in the Making is also good!

Stew or hearty soup and hard rolls or your favorite bread.

Walmart has cooked rotisserie ckn. almost everyday, from the day before for 2.38. Makes at least 1 meal and soup. Cabbage and noodles with kielbasa cut up.

Mac n cheese with ckn w/ ranch &hot sauce, is like buffalo ckn. dip.

Bed of brown rice, saute carrots, celery and cabbage with soy sauce, ginger and oil. Add a can of chicken to boost protein.

Brown rice is really cheap right now as it can’t be stored for the long term, but I like to cook up a bag and freeze it in single servings.

It can be used to bulk up everything from stir fries to tacos.

I like to see what meat is in the clearance area or on sale in general but a go to is ground turkey, pasta, and sauce I can usually keep this dish under $15 for three of us with leftovers I add in whatever veggies are in fridge

Simple Soup… 1 lb ground beef or Turkey, 1 can Tomato Juice or V-8, 1 package frozen mixed vegetables which have onion and potato included.

Serve with crackers and apples or oranges

Beef liver is one of the cheapest sources of protein. De-vein it, marinate in milk for 30 minutes, lightly dust with flour and pan cook it.

Saute onions and then make gravy.

                          Yum.
