How much are you spending on groceries per month? We are a family of 4 with two school aged children living in California.
We are spending just over $300 a week and it seems SO much higher than it needs to be but is also relatively streamlined, limited snacks/junk, no soda, no alcohol etc.
How much do you spend on groceries monthly for a family of 4?
GinaWe are at $950/month for a family of 4 plus $400/year for eating out.
JasonMy wife and I live in Greensboro, NC and spend $100/week at (mostly) Aldi.
If you have Aldi available in your area, it is an absolute must if you are trying to save money while also getting good quality.
You sacrifice a few conveniences and availability but once you are used to the experience it is no problem at all.
JennIt all depends on where you are shopping. We shop at Costco and fill in as needed from Walmart and lastly Ralphs or Albertsons both of whom have some of the worst prices.
CatronWe are spending between $2000 and $2500 per a month for groceries. I have two teenagers.
ZhannaWe also live in CA. Los Angeles to be exact. We are a family of 5, and eating out/groceries usually amount to appx $3,000/month.
Bryon$450 per month for 2 including bathroom supplies, etc.
Going out to eat once a week adds about $200 additional per month.
GroundedWe’re a family of 4 in Virginia who spend $600 per month on groceries which includes both food, and household essentials like toilet paper, shampoo, cleaning supplies, etc.
