Tree trimming can go so wrong. I personally know a man who spent the rest of his life in a wheelchair because he tried to trim a tree himself. My brother broke his back due to a kick back by the tree and saw. This cost because it is dangerous. It is not as simple as buying a chainsaw. Be wise.

Look on Yelp, Internet, etc to get an idea of most popular tree trimmers near you. Note the companies that are bonded, licensed, or insured (just in case a tree damages yours or a neighbor’s property.) Call the companies and ask for bids. You usually want to get three bids minimum but you’ll learn a lot by talking to the people who

come out and will feel more confident.

        Good luck!!

You need to get a lawn mower and do it yourself. As to the tree, you will have to pay in full once it’s done. Sounds like you want to make payments and that is not how tree companies work, at least here in Florida. You need to get that taken care of ASAP, because if you are having trouble paying for things now, you sure as heck won’t be able to replace a roof or structural damage if it were to fall on the house.

              Need more info.

Post says wanting to save childhood home. Then it says restore childhood home. Then it says tree trimmed and grass mowed.

Financial? Purchase? Condemned? You own it and it needs work? Then the tree, is it going to fall on house? Grass mowed, because it’s an eye sore or county says? Too many variables w vague post.

Maybe payment plan w guy at church til it’s paid then job can be done. Or when weather permits.

              Good luck..

I would say don’t skimp on the tree service. If they don’t know what they are doing they could kill your tree, damage it, or just make it so ugly it will take decades to recover. They should be licensed and insured.

Maybe get a full time job and save some money so you can afford the tree trimming. Nothing is free so if you want it done correctly you will need to pay for that service. These people are trying to make a living also.
                  Good luck.

If the tree is a threat to power lines, the electric company might come out and trim it up to keep limbs from falling on the power lines. They will do it where we live.
