Handyman here too. I just got my rewards dumped in a month ago. I have an EIN but it still shows up on your personal credit statement so the above post probably holds true that you need decent credit.

I’m a one-man self employed sole proprietor and I just applied and got approved for one of those chase ink business cards – I forget exactly which one but it was the one with the $8,000 spend requirement for the $1,000 bonus.

I don’t have an EIN.

Just did it a few days ago and still waiting for the card to come in the mail.

I have one for my business. It required a EIN number from what I remember and also you need a good credit score. Other than that I don’t remember the other requirements.

I have opened and closed multiple business cards as I travel hack to fly for free. I used to put social media influencer on the applications and recently I put stock trader on the applications.

I have a Chase Ink Business card and don’t recall having any issue getting the card.

I literally put that my business income is zero on the applications and I’ve never been denied a business card — You should be fine.
