I took out a high interest loan, which (as always) was supposed to be short term but the payment killed me

Sell whatever you can, cancel any streaming services, no eating out, eat out of your cabinets and freezer, get a second job. Put everything extra each month toward the loan with the higher interest. Do you have any family that could help?

My sister got into trouble with payday loans and we borrowed her the money to pay them off, then set up a payment plan for her to pay us back, so she wasn’t paying hundreds of dollars in interest each month.

Don’t miss: Does anyone have a good tactic to paying off that loan?

I recommend checking your state government website for any recommendations with debt relief or debt management. There are a lot of predatory programs out there and it sounds like you got nabbed by one.

Thankfully there is a non profit program in my state that has made a big difference in my life and I found it through the state government.
