I was just informed today that I won a free trip to the Bahamas but to add a guest, it would be around $60 a night and $20 per person to register and I’m not even sure if plane costs are included in the trip, let alone if it’s even legit.
I entered a drawing in the mall a few months back and got a text with a picture of the slip I filled out with my information along with the name of the mall.
I really want to bring my boyfriend, but he’s a bit skeptical.
I’m excited but also stressed out, because if it is legit, then we’d need passports, we’d have to pack, figure out costs and so much more.
I don’t know their customs, laws, etiquette, or anything so it all just feels a bit overwhelming.
Any advice?
SueWhy would you enter a drawing for a trip if you were not sure if it was legitimate.
Ask if you can get the cash value of the trip instead of going.
RamsayCheck how much it will cost you in taxes. Might be cheaper to book. Trip on sale than this!
BrendaSounds like a scam. At best, it’s probably some type of time share promotion that will charge you for your guest and then you spend the entire trip having to listen to sales pitches, worse case it’s a full blown scam and you’ll just lose your money.
I wouldn’t even respond.
KathyCheck with the sponsor of the contest to see if it’s legit and who won
KatelyYou have to pay taxes and all kinds of nonsense. Just plan a trip, it’s not worth the hassle to be under obligation.
Not worth it.
