What’s your investment strategy in time of catching the falling knife? I have not started. I only have a small reserve position.

I’ll start deploying my reserve funds after the stock market index went off 20% from all time high, until it’s deplete at -33% level.

After than, I’ll start using borrowed money (HELOC, for example) between -35% to -50%.

The best year to invest is the year after the election, you’ll reap the benefits the next election year when investments are at their highest.

1st, 10th and 20th of every month I have automatic investments in my brokerage account.

January 1st every year I max out my retirement account.

I do this regardless of what the market is doing.

Some of us have been waiting for a correction for a solid 15 years. I still think it’s coming but it’s part to plan your life around waiting.

What happens if we don’t go down 20%?

Are you just going to hold cash for another 10 years?

In 2022 the s&p retraced 26% and the Ndx dropped 35% ish. 2008 financial crisis the s&p dropped 55% ish. Physiological levels are 10, 20 and 35%.
