Talking my bank Tuesday about checks and bill paying, then if needed ill check Costco and Walmart!
I need recommendations on where to buy checks.

I write maybe 32 checks a year. There’s a fee if I try to make a phone payment for my Verizon and I DON’T want them IN my checking account!

One time they took an extra payment (they said it was a “glitch” abd i had to fight like he// to get it out back.

They wabted ti hust cregit ne) I send in a donation once a month to a charity and osy my water snd taxes in person. All my other bills are on either phone pay (no fee) or automatic pay with a very trusted utility.

      Thank you!!!

Get a prepay debit card that you load any amount into. Then give them permission to get payment from it.

You control the funds and they don’t have access to your account.

I have actually run into a couple place that take checks or cash. One is the Wheatland Ferry. Yesterday it was the Ham Radio Fair.

I didn’t have my checks so I had to pay $2.95 to take my money out of an onsite ATM

It might be cheaper to just get a money order for every bill you pay by check

Did you ask your bank? Most banks give free checks. It’s probably still cheaper to get them at your bank than anywhere else.

                Even if not free.

Most advanced financials do free money orders if you have one in your area. Also, if you set up direct deposit they won’t charge you a fee, I had the same problem

The checks are inexpensive at Costco. I think a single set is almost 200 checks. Good work. The pack I ordered will last for YEARS because I rarely write checks.

                    I recommend/prefer carbon copy checks.

You can set up payments FROM your bank account to Verizon. It is typically free to do so.

I found a promo deal just by looking on Google. I hardly write checks either but I refuse to pay credit card fees for church tithing and a couple other places so I’ll write a check.

We pay everything online or on phone. Fees are less than writing a check or going to pay in person.

i got some from wm super cheap, duplicates, don’t leave them in the heat bc they don’t work so well. and if you have to give a card to someone for payments, I get a prepaid card.

so, when I sign up for a warehouse store, I use this so they can’t auto draft on their own.

PSA: I’m in the financial industry and it has been moving towards electronic banking for many years. The amount of checks used are comparatively small relative to 5 years ago.

Eventually, everything will be electronic/digital. At some point the public will have to make that change.

                              A. I don’t go through many checks, but I buy from Deluxe Checks. I save by buying basic safety checks. No frills. My water bill and garbage bill are paid via check.

                              B. You can bill pay through your bank. This way you are in control of the payment rather than them debiting your account.

                              C. If you have investments, counter checks, starter checks, checks without a registration, and checks with low numbers are NOT acceptable when presenting a voided check.

Many young adults aren’t buying checks and then we have to go through alternative measures to establish online banking access.

We have alerts with our checking account, before an automatic payment is made we have to verify that we authorize it

Pay online, no charge. You can opt NOT to save your banking info and re enter it each time. When you write a check, they already have your acct info anyway.

I have a homeowner’s fee that I can’t pay electronically so a money order once a year works.

If you have a checking account, you should be able to pay with bill pay. You tell the bank what, when, and how much.

To answer your question, I order thur Walmart.

I get mine from Costco. Good quality, low price.
I use them to pay my rent and my car payments, so I have receipts

Check if your bank can just print you sheets of checks for a small fee. Mine does, but it’s a credit Union.

I think last time I needed a check, it was like $1 for three checks.

I pay most of my bills through my credit union’s online Bill Payer service. Instead of going to different websites for each bill and paying bills on their websites, I pay them through my bank and it’s all in one place.

For checks, I order the very basic checks through Deluxe Checks (through financial intuitions), and I think it’s fine.

                                          One box lasts me forever.

I’d rather keep my banking information with my bank not outside printing companies.

At my bank, any checks I need to order are free, also I am not charged any fees for any of their services because I am over 60.

The only expense I use checks for anyway is my rent.

Anything else I pay right through my bank once a month.
