What is the best way to keep lettuce mix fresh. I ordered some on my grocery app, and it was a very large package.

Put it in a Tupperware type bowl, or a zip lock bag or?

      Thanks!

When I buy that, I divide it into smaller plastic containers in portion sizes. Wrap a saltine in a paper towel so you have a small puffy square.

Put that on top of the lettuce, and cover.

Do that for each container. Store in refrigerator upside down so the cracker/towel square is on the bottom.

That square will absorb and hold the moisture so the lettuce stays fresh much longer.

Spread out and store in layers of dry paper towels.

Whatever you store it in, put a paper towel under and another on top. Moisture is the enemy!

I use a very large airtight container. Line bottom with 2-3 layers of paper towel. Clean lettuce and shake off water. Put in the container keep in fridge.

will last for over a week.

But I don’t buy bagged lettuce, just heads. They will last longer.

I wash my lettuce and put it in ziplock bag with a damp paper towel at the bottom.

                I stay’s crisp for about 2 weeks

I squeeze the air out of the bag and seal as tightly as I can…. And then plan to use as quickly as possible… the bagged lettuce mixes have a really short life expectancy….

Plastic or glass container with lid. The less air the better. Ziploc bags didn’t work for me but a big bowl doesn’t either.

I have containers with holes in bottom on top of a drip tray. Stops them sitting in water that it transpires.

Keep in the plastic container. Fill with water and let it soak. Tip it over and let it drain out the sides. Place (I use) 4 sheets of paper towels on top of lettuce.

Store the container of lettuce upside down (paper towels are on the bottom).

My lettuce can last 2 weeks that way. Mind you its ate before then.
