How are you investing your post tax money in this stock market?
I am 38 and most of my post tax funds are invested in tech stocks. This gave me larger gains the past couple years but YTD losses are higher.
In January I had around 1 million invested in my post tax brokerage. Welp, now it’s down to around 800k.
Thinking of reallocating my stocks. What would you guys recommend? GLD? Holding cash in a money market?
I’m keeping my retirement funds the same since I don’t have a lot of investment options in my 401k anyway.
ChristinaI’m focused on diversifying and dabbling in dividend stocks for a portion.
It’s so hard to time the market so diversification is key imo
MaryYou might want to take some gains and spread things out. Maybe on dividend stocks, commodities, and bonds.
Also, keep some of that cash in a HYSA or MMF.
Just know that too much cash won’t keep up with inflation.
GeorgeTry to decide on an asset allocation for the next 20 years regardless of market condition, or buy a crystal ball and some tea leaves to time the market
