I’ve lost my job. I’m thinking I’d like something work from home. Anyone know how to find something without getting scammed?

      What are the best ways?

With so many remote job listings online, it can be challenging to distinguish between real opportunities and fraudulent ones.

What red flags should I watch out for, and are there any trusted websites or resources that can help me land a genuine remote position?

I’d love to hear your experiences and advice!

Howard Clark is a financial advisor who used to be on CNN. He has a website with legitimate work from home jobs you might check that out.

Enter “ remote” instead of work from home in your search bar.
Lots of customer service jobs are remote/ work from home.

The first question to ask is “what are my skills?”. I understand Amazon, drug stores, and insurance companies are looking for work from home employees.

Apply through the company’s actual website rather than via indeed and the other sites. If you see a wfh job listing, go straight to the company website to find that job and apply for it.

If they want to talk via telegram, WhatsApp, etc it’s not legit.

If they want to send you a check for you to cash and then buy your equipment, it’s a scam.

Apply to hospitals for insurance verification, scheduling,
                    or Verizon sales, tech support,
                    Insurance companies

Look at insurance companies. I found a remote job with American Family. I needed to be 50 miles from Corporate. I sometimes have to go in maybe once a week for a meeting.

You need to look outside the box for work at home jobs..

Most are commission based sales which stink.

My friend is an appt. scheduler for a gi medical practice. They are insane busy.

If you have any medical knowledge that would be a great place to look.

                          a) If it seems too good to be true, it is.

                          b) If it requires you to spend money to make money, it’s a hobby or a charity, not a job.

                          c) If it’s an MLM (Multi Level Marketing company), see point a and b.

It definitely is a great job, people pay.

                            I know I did.

It can bring a great income.

Apple is usually hiring people to work from home for $20-40/hour, depending on the area for troubleshooting!

You just need to have familiarity with their phones and the way they work!

They’ll train you for the rest!

To be fair, I saw this quite a while ago, but I’d assume they’re always looking for people!

Look for jobs on LinkedIn. And then go directly to the company’s website to apply there.

Work from home jobs that are legitimate can be tough to find. I’ve been remote for 6 or 7 years now in tech.

                                    What’s your skill set?
