What does everyone do to earn extra money, outside of your full time job? I just don’t earn enough and finding another job has proven impossible.

I’ve been trying for years to find a second job, working evenings and weekends, and no luck there either, since I don’t have open availability.

I’ve tried MLM, not for me, I’m not cut out for the only fans world, I wish I could make things to sell, but I’m just not the crafty type.

I’ve been trying to find some sort of remote work I can do from home, on my own time, and no luck there either.

I can’t do uber/lyft/door dash/etc as my car insurance won’t cover me and more importantly, my town is way to dangerous and these people are being robbed left and right.

I’m just at a loss on how to improve my financial situation, life is just way to expensive, and I live in crazy expensive California.

      Any tips?

If you are able to pet sit overnight, then you should get plenty of jobs. I always have a hard time when I need an overnight sitter.

Some people work for local pet sitting companies and do this, or you can sign up through Rover.

If you have an extra room, get a renter. We have had good luck doing this!

Craigslist. Caterers always looking for Servers/Waitstaff/Event Staff for events.

They always need weekend help. (Event Section)

Take care of pets, mail, plants, etc while people are away. Or, dog walk for a daily job.

I’m a retired teacher. But my passion has always been sewing and creating. So, these days, I make handmade, cloth dolls.

I attend and sell them at a few area shows. My retirement income pays my bills.

My craft money allows.me to cruise and see new places.

Check out opportunities in senior living communities. Typically lots of opportunity there.

If you’re pet friendly, Rover! It’s an app that you can pet sit. My friend makes a nice second income from it.

I used to work at a hotel, we were almost always needing housekeepers.

Depending on the size and type of hotel there may be other part-time jobs like breakfast servers, luggage/porters, valet (they make tips too), laundry, catering help, marketing, event help, pool lifeguard/maint, etc.

I work part time at Target at nights after my full time job. Plus, I dog sit as a side hustle.

I’ve just learned about an app called Papa Pals. I’ve never done it but apparently you help elderly with tasks like taking them shopping or taking them to drs apts, light cleaning or yard work, etc.

Surveys, cloud connect research and prolific. It’s not a lot of money, but at least you can do it at home in your spare time, if available projects pop up

I’m right there with you! I live in a beach town in California and it’s beyond ridiculous what it cost to live here.

I’ve lived here almost my entire life, 5 of my 7 grandchildren live here and I don’t want to leave.

Do you bake? I made bread, pies and cakes for awhile. It was too hot to bake in the summer without running up the electricity bill so I stopped but it’s a good winter side gig.

I’m thinking of taking a lawn mower repair class because I don’t know anyone who doesn’t have one that needs some kind of service.

There are always jobs at homeless shelters and substance use detox facilities. Esp nights and weekends.

High school degree only for entry level. Hospitals always have janitor and food service jobs, entry level too
