JohannaThere should be an option to decline a credit check. Credit checks are often done when opening accounts to establish holds and limits (ie how much you can immediately access if you were to deposit a check and how quickly you can ‘make use’ of that money for example).
AshleyNormally accounts do not do a check credit, but that is not always the case. I opened a HYSA with my local credit union and they ran a credit check.
