My dog was diagnosed with a condition that will cost $130/month in medication. I was struggling to think of a way to make this more affordable when I suddenly thought to check whether COSTCO pharmacy fills pet prescriptions. They do!

And as a member, my dog’s meds will be $86/month! Still a big expense but $52 cheaper than any of the online pet pharmacies.

So, you just ask your vet for a prescription to get filled elsewhere?

Check Amazon. And please be careful and check to make sure the human version can be safely taken by him

Is it Cushings? A lot of dogs have it nowadays! I found a supplement on Amazon that worked so well for my senior dog!

            She’s like a puppy again!

We found the same thing with Costco’s prices on all of our dog’s pain meds.

You can go to human pharmacy for pet drugs, in most cases.
I got pregabilin through CVS for like $15.

                  Look on goodrx.

We love Costco and used them for a few years for our dog’s heart meds – in the last year found same medication is 2/3 cheaper through CVS – found cost difference through GoodRX.

Our checkbook is much happier and so are we.

                      GoodRx might help too.
We switched to rite aid from the vet for seizure meds. They were half the price.

Good job! See how a little investigative work pays off! Perhaps you can fool your budget into thinking it’s still the original amount and squirrel away that $52.00 each month?

You’ll have a nice chunk of change by Christmas time!

Just to throw out there, I recently found out that Good RX takes RX’s for animals….I got my cat’s RX down to $4/month at Walmart.

We use GoodRX for our dog and it drops his meds to $60 for a 90 day supply.

If you have a Kroger or a Kroger-owned store near you Che k out their Rx club. You can have 5 names on one plan…including pets.

And they don’t even have to live with you!!

Try Budget Vet Care. They are half what I would pat here and exact same meds.

I have four dogs, and they are all on Simpartica Trio.

We found that Walmart had the cheapest for one of our pet’s Rx

That’s fantastic! I had a vet tech recommend an online pharmacy called California Pet Pharmacy and they had great prices.

I could get them by subscription and they mailed them to me, so no special trips needed.

What is the medication? Is it generic? If not see if you can get generic.

Also check small pharmacies sometimes they will do a discounted price.

Sams considers pets family members and they qualify for discounted meds too!

Another vote for GoodRx. Between the two of them, my dogs have 6 monthly prescriptions.

I save big money using GoodRx at my local rite aid.

If it’s a human drug just used in dogs (my dogs glaucoma eye drops are) check Good Rx.

It saves me $100 a month between the two he takes.
