My mom who basically lives on social security, has cancer and spends far too much money every month on her OVER THE COUNTER Medications.

Thank God she qualifies for grants for her cancer meds and treatments.

Well today I discovered that there is a pharmacy in a hospital nearby that sells all over the counter meds for a huge discount!

We just got her a three month supply of all her OTC meds for less than 1/2 the price!

I’m sharing this so others research this on their areas and also for a good gift idea for people who are looking for gift ideas for anyone sick or elderly.

We met going to make this into a care package with lotions and comfort items and it will be a combined birthday and Christmas gift.

She was born on New Year’s Eve.

If she qualifies for Medicaid it will cover OTCs with a prescription

I found out yesterday each state has a colation for cancer. Not sure what all they do.

              Come across it by accident.

Some Medicare Advantage plans do have an OTC allowance card, some monthly, some quarterly.

I use mine to get vitamins, supplements, even some groceries!

There is insurance called Unites Health-care here in Texas that provides all of that for free.

Check on it, wherever you might be, as well.

Prayers and Blessings sent for mom

How did you find a hospital place where the prices are lower? Please share how to do this research, thanks.

NC has free OTC medication. Check your state. Here it is called the Mobile Pharmacy.

I live in California and with my Medicare Advantage plan I get $ 190 to spend on OTC meds every 3 months.

Please wrap some in Christmas paper and some birthday wrapping paper!

Almost everyone who has a birthday near Christmas has gotten less than normal gifts and attention due to the proximity to the bigger holiday

It’s worth looking at active ingredients too.
Coworker gave me some Bayer Back and Body Extra Strength aspirin for a bad shoulder that I could barely lift above my chest.

It killed the pain for hours.

It’s 500 mg aspirin with 32.5 mg caffeine.
200 pills cost $18 at Walmart online.

I bought a big bottle – about twice the number – of generic aspirin for about a quarter the price, took a similar dose with a cup of coffee or a caffeinated soda for the same effect.

If she has an advantage plan with her Medicare she might have some OTC benefits available (a healthy living card).

Contact your insurance provider or agent

Look into her insurance. My dad gets $50 quarterly to purchase things like OTC meds, toothpaste, elderly supplies, etc…
