Ladies, I’m excited as I’ve gotten better with my money management!! This is the first month where I haven’t used my overdraft (i bank with chime so no fees). I’ve paid majority of my credit cards down and have designated them for certain bills so I won’t overspend but I’ll also earn points/rewards. I’ve started saving a little bit at a time:
Emergency fund-$80
Vacation-$119
I made a $500 payment towards my tuition ($7000) and my rent is paid for the next 4 months.
This year will be great, I’m definitely not where I need to be but I’m getting better. I’ve only spent $37 on eating out this month.
I only make about $2k a month after taxes and I’m a single mom, so it’s definitely possible to save on low income, just be willing to sacrifice and make some hard truths.
RosannaAmazing! It must feel so secure with having that rent paid ahead. That was one of the first things I did when I got in charge of my money. That security is PRICELESS! Great job all around!
JackiieYou rock lady. I am happy for you. Remember progress over perfection. Have an amazing day.
KaylaGreat job!! Little steps eventually make big changes! I’m right there with you, finally trying to make a plan for my money this year!
