I see a lot of people saying don’t panic and sell out. But my parents are buying a house soon, in the next 6 months.

Is it better to sell out now and move to something safer or sell out in chunks over time?

It’s so hadd to tell. Stocks could skyrocket if trump reversed his decesion or paused tariffs

Truthfully if their timeline was to be buying a house in the next six months, they shouldn’t have been in the market at all.

Their house money should have been in a hysa or something similar.

It’s hard to time the market both up and down. Especially in this case.

Just one old man having a heart attack or something could change everything in this case.

Keep buying and don’t sell is fine if you are still in the earning stage and don’t need the money for the next 10+ years.

However, all bets are off if you will need the money before then.

It could continue to drop a LOT more in the next few years.

Its worth mentioning if the market continue to drop like this, there is a real good chance housing price will come down too.

People are already losing their jobs, and so many people are literally gambling in the stock market, this will have trigger affect into the housing market when margin come calling for a lot of people.
