I used johnstones multisurface primer 2 coats then 2 coats of johnstones tile paint in a whole bathroom and there has been no chipping or peeling make sure you scrub tiles with sugar soap first x
TeresaPainting them will still be textured.
Anything textured is best to use a brush .. so a small scrubbing brush would do the job much easier.
