Not so much money-saving frugal, but time-saving… I make my kids’ breakfasts ahead of time so mornings are less chaotic.

Last night I had promised pancakes for the week and was not looking forward to standing at the stove flipping for half an hour.

Suddenly I remembered this idea floated around during lockdown… baked pancakes! Mix up your batter, pour it all in a pan and bake! I did 350°F for about 20 minutes.

Sliced it up this morning and the rest of the week is in the fridge.

I may have added chocolate chips to the batter for fun.

This is great! I have been craving pancakes but I didn’t want to stand at the stove and burn a few and make a few too raw like I always do.

I make this most Sundays when my daughters & family come for Sunday Brunch.

I add sliced bananas, strawberries and blueberries.

          Everyone loves!

Great idea. Reminds me of the giant chocolate chip cookie in a pizza pan my daughter-in-law makes her kids for the same reason.

            They are just as good!

While they’re easier, the consistency just isn’t the same and I miss the crispy edges

When I make waffles I make too many and freeze the extras for later.

Thanks for reminding me of this! When I had 2 under 2 and my youngest was newborn I’d bake these for my 17 month old for breakfast/ snacks.

Fill them with flaxseeds and berries and drizzle with honey and he was happy and I felt like a good Mum.

I’m gonna make a tray this weekend

And don’t you know, I stood and did the flipping of two double batches just yesterday for freezing.

Urggh This is one of those, “why didn’t I think of that”? moments.

                    lol Thanks for the tip.

If anyone protests Square pancakes, you can use cookie cutter for fun shapes. And mom gets to eat the leftover scraps.

My kids would have loved rainbow sprinkles too!

I used to make German pancakes. So yummy. Because it has so many eggs it has gone up a lot in the last few years but it’s still worth it.

I may search out baked pancakes, though.

We make our waffles/pancakes here and just freeeze them then pop in the toaster ready to eat whenever!

This reminds me that I need to make some more so thanks

I used to do this for my daycare kids, sometimes blueberry, sometimes chocolate chips.

Great way to feed 6 impatient tiny humans!

                            Lol
