My son had two friends over and he wanted me to take them to Waffle House. That’s too expensive for my budget!

Instead, I made a pancake buffet with plain pancakes, apple cinnamon pancakes(to use up an apple I had), and chocolate chip pancakes.

They were happy and full, and I didn’t have to break my budget!

When my son was in 2nd grade he went to a sleepover for his best friend’s birthday. He came home raving about these amazing pancakes they had for breakfast.

I just used the aldi brand mix but I usually added stuff like berries or cinnamon or chocolate chips so I figured this mom must have went all out and made homemade pancakes.

I finally asked her about it, and she said she also used the mix from Aldi. The difference? Sprinkles.

She put sprinkles in the batter! We had a good laugh over her ‘complicated’ recipe

Great job! Teach them next time how to do it. Make it a fun family bonding, crank the tunes and crack the eggs.

Learning to be confident in the kitchen is a skill any girl friend will be impressed by

Plus, you built memories, for all 3 kids! Care, time, and love were shown.

            So much better than money.

I picked up a waffle iron at a Garage sale for$3! Family had bought it for their daughters slumber party and only used it that day.

5 years later I am still making waffles!

I made birthday pancakes for my youngest daughter for years. I grated an apple, added cinnamon and mini chocolate chips.

                She loved her special pancakes!

Good for you, too expensive.. Have them help cook, they’ll learn how and then appreciate the work or pleasure involved

I picked up a waffle maker at a local thriftstore. Grandkids love making waffles.

And if they are only lightly golden brown, they freeze well and heat up nicely in the toaster oven.

My kid has 3-6 primary buds that we rotate sleepovers for on the regular.

Cheap pizza for dinner, homemade waffles/pancakes for breakfast at everybody’s house

When my son was young, he had a buddy spend the night. I love to cook and made them a huge breakfast.

I cooked pancakes with sprinkles (pancakes were from Krustez), made some sausage that I needed to cook, fried a few eggs, and had a few cinnamon rolls left over from the day before that I heated up.

I also had some bananas and strawberries that I made into a quick fruit salad. My son’s buddy thought he was living the high life.

I was just retrying to get rid of some food before it went bad.

The buddy’s mom was NOT happy with me as he usually got a pop tart at home. Oops.
