Need some meal ideas for a family reunion. There will be about 30 of us ages 3-85. We will have 1 standard stove/ oven and two grills to cook on.

Was thinking a lasagna and salad night, and a grilled meat and cold salads/chips night.

What other inexpensive meals can we make for a crowd on that equipment?

Going out to eat is too impractical so we need 6 dinners at least (I think each family will handle their own breakfast and lunch).

      Thanks!

Tacoma Salad, or Pasta salad. You throw everything but the kitchen sink in these.

Taco soup made with shredded or cut up rotisserie chicken, cans of beans (3 types or just pinto) corn, diced tomatoes, tomatoes and peppers, package of dry ranch dressing and package of taco seasoning.

Serve with tortilla chips, shredded cheese and sour cream.

Make 2 huge pots of it. Maybe warm up store bought taquitos, burritos or quesadillas in the oven and make queso in a crockpot if you have one too.

            It’s a crowd pleaser!

Could do pizzas, if you have grill stones. Allows for personalization.

That’s our family every weekend. Foil packs on the grill, or a seafood boil are also easy options that go a long way

Cancel the lasagna, substitute with baked ziti, way cheaper. Keep warm in disposable pans on grill.

                      Tossed salad and dressings.

Tacos with fresh veggies. Chicken ground beef all great options.

And the meat does well cooked in slow cookers.

Chili with buns is another good option. Make your own subs/sandwiches.

Homemade pizzas. Hamburgers and smokies/hot dogs

For 50-70 people, and over many many years, we’ve settled on a few menus that only require reheating, not “cooking.”

We bring multiple crock pots and each family brings something already cooked and ready to go with easy condiments and sides.

Just dump in crock pot and reheat. Chili, taco soup, white chili, hot dogs and s’mores, turkey (already cooked and sliced), taco bar.

We usually make the main meal at lunch and then just pull out leftovers for dinner.

Everyone also brings snacks/desserts that people nibble on all day. (Chex mix, flavored crackers, trail mix, etc).

Do up meals where towards the end of your time, you can make camp stew and cornbread muffins

Chili can be made in crock pots ahead of time and cook on low all day…add tortilla chips, cheese and sour cream.

I would do a pasta instead of lasagna. Grilled hotdogs with macaroni salad & watermelon.

Enchilada casserole, green salad, tortilla chips salsa, Chili bar for q meal Taco salad, home made mac n cheese veggies & upcakes. Stirfry serve w/ rice

Make dups of P.F. Chang’s lettuce wraps… they’re oh so good and so easy. Brown a few pounds of ground beef add hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, some soy sauce, some garlic diced water chestnuts.

Serve on lettuce leaves. Add a side of fried rice or Lo mein.

Broccoli with chicken. Chicken stirfry. Steamed dumplings or egg rolls!
                                      Have a fabulous time!
