Tub of johnsons mat white and two coats will even bring back a black wall.

Lining paper, line the walls first and then paint this may work if you get good quality lining paper.

I’m sure I’ve read that grey will cover a strong colour. Then of course you’d need to cover the grey.

Get a big 10 ltr tub of magnolia ,paint a few coats of that on, then paint it white .

I had red walls to cover a few years ago.
What I did was buy cheap white paint and used as a primer before painting the main colour on.
Took 4 coats to hide the red.
