Kai XuIt may be helpful to read more to understand ESG before you make the switch. It can be debatable whether ESG is actually good. Tesla is an example.
Also think about your goal. Is your goal keeping up with non ESG index or to do better? It’s unclear if it will ever be better.
DanESG is subjective and is mostly a marketing tactic aimed at people on the political left who want to vote with their wallet.
Returns depend on what is considered “ethical and green” for that time period. Like many things, it all depends on how you measure it and what is important to you.
I have seen vastly different ESG scores for many different companies.
ChelseaIt performs the same as non-ESG investing. Only difference is that you feel a little better about it.
KimI read so many mixed reviews about the returns and actual good they do, I gave up. My investments are whole market index funds. I auto-bill charity donations to do good in the world.
