Did anyone use debt consolidation to pay off credit card debt? What would be your best advice? I’m making payments on time but I think it would be easier to pay one amount rather than several every month.
Can anyone give me any advice on who to contact? I bank with chase and Wells Fargo.
Thank you in advance!
ArleenI would not do that I did the snow ball and paid off my debt.
First write down a budget. Cut out everything you can. No eating out.I coupon for things I buy. Since 2015 I saved 14,000 free products cvs
Upside for gasIbotta money back on things you already buy
You need to prioritize your goals to be debt free
Remember an emergency fundConnieI did a balance transfer to a zero % APR credit card that’s good up to 18 months, but you gotta be able to make all the payments before the 18 months to not get any interest.
AmandaCheck out Dave Ramsey from the library and follow his advice.
KasiaSome are consumer proposal which means your stuck closing your credit cards and are not able to get a loan or a CC while you are on a program.
Your credit takes a deep dive. And often employment does not let you be in on CP SO be careful.
Why don’t you go to bank and ask to do consolidation loan. Start there snd see if you qualify.
Your credit will improve and you avoid being g stuck.
JenniferTry using empty dog food bags, empty bird seed bags.
JannaI use the bags from my pellets from my pellet stove. That takes me until at least July. I also cut the big bags that you get your paper towels and toilet paper in from BJ’s and use them for trash (don’t let them get too full.)
then pet food bags do a good job.
I always felt guilty throwing them away but at least I can give them a second life before they hit the landfill now.
I haven’t bought garbage bags in years.
MartiniSam’s club or Costco, if you have a friend or family member to lean on!
PamI buy my bags at Aldi the white 13 gallon and black 30 gallon both with drawstrings are great.
No problem with either of them.
CorinnI use the Home Depot HDX it’s either $8 or $9 for a box of 55 and it lasts me about a year
MelanieLowe’s or Home Depot. The sell a large box of them and are the cheapest I found for the amount you get.
At Lowe’s it the moxie brand and at Home Depot it is HDE I believe.
Way cheaper than I can get them at Sam’s club and they are very strong bags
MaryI get mine at Target and the box lasts me a year since I’m solo and sometimes don’t even use a bag per week.
DianaIf you have a Rural King store near you, I think they have the absolute BEST trash bags, ever. And the cheapest!
You could probably order them online if you don’t have these stores near you.
SueI buy Targets brand in the blue box, I also use to buy them at Walmart. I will only buy bags with the drawstring.
I have been using Targets brand for about 6 months
DebbyI use the bags from CVS, never had any issues and I usually get a good deal on them because I shop there so often.
CarlaLowe’s and Home Depot sell a box of 160-ish (ish because sometimes there are bonus count boxes) for $18.
They have drawstring and the flex material, some are scented as well.
JoAnnAldi quit selling a 4-flap 13 gal. that I had used for years. Both Walmart & Dollar Tree have one that seems more than sufficient.
I use one bag/week by putting anything that might stink in a grocery store bag in the freezer until trash pick up day.
It’s just me & I am short & the flaps don’t stretch like a drawstring, so I don’t have to drag it.
ShelleyIf you have a BJs warehouse they have 130 hefty bags for around $20z if you prefer glad I think it’s 160 bags for the same price.
HelenI buy 13 gallon size garbage bags at Sam’s in bulk currently $.09 a bag.
Haven’t found any less expensive; think 200 per box.
