I have certain circumstances that require me to have to hold a larger emergency fund then what would typically be recommended.
Right now I hold the cash in an Ally high yield account.
Is there a better place to park cash that is easy to liquidate in a pinch?
JasonVUSXX yields around 4.23% right now. 80% treasuries and the rest other government debts.
JonathanAny HYSA will work. I like ally, but there are better APY rates out there.
RiveraI have mine in ally and occasionally put some in their cd short time when they have deals
HeleineA high-yield savings account at Ally is a solid choice for an emergency fund due to its liquidity and decent interest rates.
Other options include a money market account or short-term CDs, but always prioritize easy access to your funds in an emergency.
ScottA Money market fund acts just like an hysa with slightly better returns.
SickelsGsy (ultra short bond etf)has an annual total return of 5.67% (7.86 cdn%).
Low risk etf with 3% fluctuation since 2008
FarreFidelity has a good high yield account (and access to short-term bonds).
