Best value for money dishwasher? Or best dishwasher overall?

I’m in the market for a new dishwasher and would really appreciate some input from others who’ve done their research or recently made a purchase.

I’m torn between going for the best overall dishwasher—regardless of price—or the best value option that offers solid performance for a lower cost.

In your experience, is it worth spending more for premium features, quieter operation, and better durability? Or are there budget-friendly models that perform just as well in real-world use?

If you have any specific recommendations, please share the brand and model, along with what you like (or don’t like) about it.

Reliability, cleaning performance, energy efficiency, and noise level are all important to me.

Old school Bosch was the bomb! The new ones just aren’t as good. We had our Bosch for about 16 yrs.

The reviews were terrible on the new ones.

I’ve had two KitchenAid in 30 years. They’re quiet and they do a great job.

I do rinse my dishes before they go in the dishwasher and I do clean my filter a lot.

I used to swear by Bosch. They really have gone downhill. The last one I bought 4 years ago doesn’t drain properly.

I cleaned the filter and had it looked at by a local repair guy.

Water sits at the bottom of my dishwasher.

I would go with a GE Profile.

I believe you should get the best on an appliance you use daily, we have an Asko it cleans so so good, we have also had Bosch it worked great too, I had the top of the line GE and it didn’t do the job near as well, they let me trade it for a Bosch
