Does anyone have a problem with purchasing items when stores that you shop in offer $15 if you spend $100, etc.
It’s stuff you purchase but it’s basically for stockpiling.
MaryIf it’s something like toilet paper or soap I would do it. And as long as I would not be taking money meant for a different bill.
Only do it if you have extra money.
I stockpile also. When the toilet paper shortage was going on a few years ago I had plenty on hand.
Didn’t have to worry about it at all.
RinaI use it with items I buy regularly and the items have to be on sale too
If the item is not on sale, the $15 off $100 makes the regular price items just a reg coupon or regular sale item.
JustinaTo me it’s only worth it if it was towards groceries or diapers/wipes when my kids wore them.
CameronIt bothers me knowing there are greater deals and savings in the long run
In other places beyond a kroger store and safeway
But it is a good deal uf it includes apparel
And house hold goods when you have exhausted researching other options
For an appliance or vacuumSchool shopping for kids
TammyIt it’s $100 of items I will 100% buy anyway then I have no problem with that.
I have no issues with stockpiling or having a small backstock of items we frequently use & will definitely buy again.
If I’m struggling to spend the $100 aka adding items I’m not fully confident in then it’s not saving in my eyes
SerenaUnless it’s groceries, that 15% off is pretty minimal value to me.
JoanneI would do it if I needed enough stuff or close to it to get to the $100 qualifying amount that shopping trip.
DeniseIf I can think of items I’ll use in near future that are also on sale I’ll do it. But I won’t spend just to get a little bit off there must be great deals on or there are bulk items I buy.
Example one store I collect points and they will offer some times spend 70 of points get 80 or spend 150 get 175.
Those points I can use at various times to double down on deals.
So, to use them I may get a big bag of powdered milk, a bag of rice, maybe chicken is on sale, cooking oil, etc etc , I’ll figure out if with the added value in getting best deal.
If not then I just ignore. Maybe I only was going to spend $20 for chicken at that store, so that’s what I will do and carry on.
JohnsonI used to call Walmart the 100 store because I could easily go once a month or quarter as a single mom with a cat and spend that
Am I going to spend 60+ to get a discount somewhere when I only want need to spend 40?
Nope
DianeI have no problem with it whatsoever, in fact I consider it prudent to take advantage of a discount anytime they offer it on staple items.
I have plenty of storage space and try to keep staple goods in ample supply at all times.
LizI used a coupon like that today. Spend $130 get $13 off + buy $30 in produce get $5 off.
With all my coupons & sales I saved $34.58.
I only bought what I needed to buy and stuck to my list.
DonnaDollar General gives $5 off if you purchase $25 on Saturday. You had to have purchased some things prior to Saturday to get this.
I use this when I stock up on toilet paper, paper towels, paper plates or cleaning supplies.
Sometimes I use it four weeks which gives me $20 off for things I need and will use.
It is a 20 percent of of the $25.
