I’ve been wondering the same thing. I’m a year into my very early retirement journey and I think about 4 things:

1 – The things I did right to get me to where I am today

2 – The things I wish I knew to do differently

3 – Navigating this stage when it comes to drawing down assets

4 – the mindset change that’s involved in going from such high achievement to get to this stage to rewiring to relax

I’ve thought about either creating an online course to help others get to here as well but I’m still in the phase of decompressing from the years of work stress that I haven’t set my mind to it yet.

I fired 5 years ago and then traveled for 4, but also felt a desire to help others.

I’m still traveling with the family (in Egypt now) but wanted to do something and now help others increase their stock returns.

I really enjoy it and I remain flexible.

I would love to get advice on your fire journey! Especially your last year before being FIRE official and how you figured you were ready?

Also, your first year, how did you withdraw and spend money? How did you manage expenses to make sure you were on track?

Did you spend more or less in retirement than expected?

Yes! It’s been almost 3 years now since my wife and I achieved FI. I quit my full-time job and my wife stopped promoting her business.

Nowadays, we travel 6 months out of the country with our 2 kids.

We pay it back by creating content of our lifestyle and creating value so people can be inspired.

We don’t sell anything but right now we are just providing value for others – that’s how we pay it back. Let’s connect! sounds like you travel?

It took a lot for me to maintain discipline in my investments, with the dip causing more damages.

However, there’s been an improvement since I read an article about EWAC on how to profit from cost averaging.
