      Any dumpster divers here??
      HOW DID YOU BECOME
      A DUMPSTER DIVER??
      I’ve always LOVED FREE!
20 years ago, I’d get free stuff from FreeCycle and Craigslist “Free”

Around that time I noticed that every bagel store tosses the previous days bagels in the trash. Most of the time they are still a

little bit soft and perfectly good to eat.
My diving progressed from bagels to
having a $0.00 Food Bill the last 5 years.

Also, I never have to pay for things like TP, napkins, toothpaste, toothbrush,
hand soap, bars of soap, laundry
detergent, dish soap, Ajax, Windex, bleach, etc.

I find so much that I give a lot of food
and other things to friends who need it
“If it’s for FREE, it’s FOR ME !”

I don’t dive but I will check out what is laying beside the dumpsters.

I work for a restaurant and we throw out gallons of food nightly!! I try to take as much food as I can home. I have reduced my food budget by 80 – 90 percent!!

My dog is enjoying the meat.

I just rinse off the seasonings really good, as dogs can’t have salt, onions and garlic.

We had a funeral for my father in law and served Costco turkey sandwiches and their potato salad, coke slaw, fruit salad.

Most of the leftovers went in the garbage as no one wanted to take home!

You might scan the wedding announcements and funerals and ask for leftovers.

we’re in our 40s with small kids, pay our mortgage out next week and zero plans to quit diving which enriches our whole community

Our Amish friends do it lol… they just quickly walk back to the dumpster look in and grab what they can quickly and go lol…

I’ve seen them bring our packs of meat/bacon that if not good they feed to dogs.

And scored tons and tons of soap from dollar general

Not a dumpster diver because I’m quite sure I’d fall in and not be able to get out BUT I go to rich areas the night before their garbage pick up and they get rid of stuff you would never believe.

Washers’ dryers fridge TV’s computers lawn tools etc.

It’s like a free yard sale lol

Been doing it since I’ve been a kid but not regularly. That, And curb surfing. I’ve found tons of useful items people just toss out.

Didn’t feel like donating, just moved, house clean outs, yard sale leftovers. Yes. Fun times.

My best last year was a nearly brand new lawnmower. They put too much oil in it.

Once it was drained, cleaned up and refilled, it started right up.

Another was a fairly expensive, Dyson swivel vacuum cleaner.

It would shut off and on…. it just needed to be emptied. $$

Depends where you live. I’m in the Seattle area and dumpsters are locked.

Has anyone gotten trespassing tickets or had law question you?
