I spent $80 on anti skid shoes for a restaurant job. About $40 for cpr tests and food handlers certification. Now I found out I need all black tops!
Posted on my city’s free and trade site and received four free tops!
Like new!! Saved me a lot of money. Was going broke starting this new job.
If you don’t have a free and trade site for your area, you might start one.
JadedI’ve been helping someone out who needed something for her pets on a regular basis.
I wouldn’t want to see her pets given to the humane society so I help her out once a month.
SandiWhere I work they buy us 1 pair of restaurant shoes every year & they give us the tops. Mon – wed is black polos, Thursday is red for safety & Friday we have school t-shirts.
The only thing I buy are my pants.
NancyPlus save your receipts for the shoes and classes. Tax write off.
TinaI did not know you could get just get the all black or all white tops for anti skid shoes what a resource very helpful for those that need all white or all black for their jobs.
I work near the theme parks in Orlando and all of them require this for almost all of their employees.
GabrielaThis is unbelievable…I’m from Belgium and any particular job apparel you might have to wear, if mandatory, the company’s boss has to provide, including shoes…but hey, it’s Belgium…
SedevcicIs times like this I miss having a payless. I worked there and would sell the work shoes for less than that.
I am glad you were able to get help.
I love my free groups around here.
DebraI absolutely love my free group! It became very active during covid and continues strong to this day.
Been blessed with so many wonderful, much needed items and passed along things I no longer needed but someone else was happy to get
ChryseI also appreciate our Buy Nothing group. I’ve given away hundreds of items I didn’t need but others did need. This is a win-win.
I feel better with a cleaner house.
I’ve also received things I needed for others such as two new Nebulizers for Waffle House employees who had insurance coverage but their coverage wouldn’t cover the nebulizers.
Thank goodness for kind neighbors who gifted these two patients unused nebulizers.
