I have had good results with the rentals, but the one time I had a professional do it, it was pretty impressive.

I love the Rug Doctor I’ve spent so much money on carpet shampooers, and when it comes to a pulln Street, I always go back to the rug doctor.

        The extraction is unbeatable.

Something to think about when renting from the grocery. People do not clean these machines before bringing them back. The store doesn’t either.

I know because we rent them where I work.

You never know what the person before you sucked up in the machine. I’ve seen some pretty disgusting ones.

I’d go professional clean. You get a guarantee. Money well spent in my opinion.

I think the rentals do ok. I have my own and I love it.

They work fairly well if the machine has been serviced regularly. I have had them leak all over.

Usually there is a card saying when the last time they were worked on.

Overall, yes it’s cheaper and better job than the pro guys.

I’ll just say this. My previous landlord hired someone to come clean the carpets before we moved in.

There were still spots everywhere so we rented a rug dr and tried it again.

Treats all the stains and they all came out and the carpet was a whole shade lighter! Then we bought a bissel and it worked just as good!

I use them back when they first came out and they worked very well but I’m not strong enough to move him around anymore.

I just found a local cleaner they’re usually reasonably priced

I used to work at a grocery store that rented them out and people did not clean them. I bought my own small shampoo cleaner on clearance a couple years ago and happy I did.

It saved me money and I wasn’t being charged 200 plus for two rooms to be professional clean.

I have my own Rug Doctor and it works great. I use a lot less soap than what the bottle says. That said, it’s a LOT of work filling and dumping the buckets.

If you’re not up for that, I’d pay someone.

Also, if you’re renting, they charge you by the day.

Make sure you can get it done in a timely manner or you won’t save any money.

General rental companies also rent a variety of machines. Some of them are really big and industrial.

I get an excellent results with store cleaners… I’m picky and I wash until the water runs nearly clear
