Their loss. The manufacturers make it the same way, and one can gets a brand name label and another gets a store-brand label.

As someone who has worked factory jobs over the years, most store brands are the same exact product as name brands, just in different packaging.

Co workers don’t pay your bills. You do. Bet they are maxed out on their credit cards. Do what’s best for you.

I’ve saved thousands over the years and applied it to my mortgage! House is paid off. Every tiny bit helps

We always buy store brand except on a few items! Why spend more when we don’t notice the difference!

Yes! I actually prefer the store brand in many things. e.g. Peanut butter, lactose-free milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, the list goes on.

                All but Oreos & Coke.

In some cases it’s the exact same thing – just with a different label.

And I feel like they are wasting their money. To each their own, but I paid my house off early by myself.

And Aldi and thrift store shopping helped a lot with that.

I feel sorry for people who feel they are flaunting some sort of superiority by always buying name brand or top of the line.

It’s just stuff. Not worth investing your mental health into it.

I always buy store brand unless name brand is on sale for the same price or less than store brand. Sometimes there’s a taste difference but not too often.

                        Keep doing you!!!!

Many of the store brand items come off the same assembly line and just get a different label put on

I didn’t have fancy several hundred dollar purses.
I wore simple generic clothes, bought on sale or clearance. Repaired when needed.

I drove a beater truck. No fancy vehicle for me.

Simple hair cut. I wear it longer so really a trim a couple times a year.

Cook at home, pack my lunch, don’t drink coffee.
No cable, simple cheap phone, I did my own nails.

I did splurge and get my toes done at the beginning of scandal season.

I never “sport shop”, shop just for something to do.
I retired early Doing what I want comfortably while I’m still young enough to enjoy life.

They’re all still working. Talking to one of them, we’re the same age. her telling me how her feet hurt so bad at the end of the day.

I don’t have to deal with that.

It never bothered me not being one of the cool kids. I just did my own thing.

I like not having bills. The excitement of savings always outweighed buying disposable junk worked for me.

We actually plan meals by what’s on sale. Buy meats bulk when on sale.

If you never buy the expensive stuff, you’ll never know what you’re missing! That’s my philosophy.

I compare the nutrition labels and decide if the added cost is worth the extra nutritional value. Sometimes I find the store brand is is healthier.

People have been sold a bag of goods that profit the corporations. Until someone else pays your bills let them do them and you keep your money and smile all the way to the bank

Nothing “wrong” with buying store brand. Some are even better than the name brand.

I compare ingredients. Then quality after I buy them. Have had some good surprises, and sometimes the brand name wins.

I had a coworker who looked done on my store brand cough drops until he had a cold. He liked mine better and buys them now.

I was a brand snob until my husband left. I realized I was going to have to shop differently. Most things Store Brands are just as good.

I won’t give up my Dawn, Viva paper towels and Charmin.

I was just at my local grocery store, comparing store brand cough syrup to Dayquill. Exact same ingredients. Store brand $3 less.

I seldom buy name brand anything at the grocery, but will pay for quality for some things, like furniture.

And I look for name brands at thrift shops for clothing.

I always buy store brand for most things if it’s available and cheaper than the name brand.

Been doing that for years and will continue to do so. Especially toiletries and household items.

In this economy and with the greatly jacked up prices we will be paying after Jan 5, we need to save every penny we can.
