Does anyone own a bookkeeping/accounting business? Worth it financially?
Currently a RN but I’ve always felt like my passion lies somewhere in finance. Thinking of going back to a community college for an accounting degree.
If anyone here is an accountant I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Thank you!!!
SarahI’m a CPA and honestly believe this is the easiest business to own, as far as obtaining clients/growth goes.
I work part-time most of the year and make full time salary.
AlisaI am weighing in as an estate planning attorney. BY FAR, the most referrals I get asked to provide are for CPAs/tax preparers and bookkeepers.
We’re in a fairly small area but most are not taking on new business because they are bursting at the seams.
You will always be needed!
LexiI’m a nurse thinking the same! Always wished I did something with numbers and organizing! Following!
KassYes, and yes!
I have a bookkeeping and strategic support business. I bill using a value based pricing method and make a great living. It’s low overhead (roughly 78% profit margin) and I have the ability to work from wherever I want, with clients all over the country.
PLUS, I really like working with other small businesses owners!
KaylynI own a tax prep and planning business. I love it – the work can obviously be hectic but it’s also super rewarding and profitable.
