I go to whatever is the local grocery store early in the morning and buy markdowns.

My local small town grocery has good meat sales and often times has clearance specials.

The prices and quality is better than Walmart.

Check out the Flashfood app. Many stores near me sell items that way. Including meat.

Some maybe a day or two from sell by date so you would need to freeze or cook but it’s typically 1/2 off.

I buy only what’s on sale and usually can coupon on top of that. I shop at Albertsons.

This week boneless skinless chicken breast is .99 lb! Last week I got tri tip and eye of round roast at 2.99 lb.

            Buy bulk and freeze.

I don’t shop for much at Sam’s anymore, feel the price break isn’t there anymore. Just bigger packages.

If you have a winco in your area. I bought 3lb ground Turkey for $8.
                Walmart it’s almost $12!

Costco has better meat than Sams Club. If you don’t have a food saver, invest in one. It is the best tool for not wasting meat.

Also, look for Farm Direct groups in your area.

If you have local butchers in your area, start watching their sales and get to know them.

Meat markets have better prices in my area. Especially when I buy in bulk.

I have found Sam’s to be better price per pound than Walmart usually. And the quality seems better.

For me my local butcher small town store actually is cheaper than a lot of places.

Locally we have meat butchers that do a bundle price so if you have freezer storage, that might be an option.

I have found that the best way to save on meat is to download apps from the higher end stores and wait for digital coupons.

It’s more work but you can score some really good deals.

Stick to the sales though because their regular prices are insane!

I buy ground meat at Costco and divide it in 1 lb packs for freezer. If I chicken there it has to be Organic or their basic chicken is tasteless and tough.

Lamb loin chops are $5.99 a lb!

They are the Best Buy at Costco meat counter.

Walmart lacks quality. Find a local butcher or farmer.
