Last night I noticed that my feet and nails were in dire need of some care so I dug out my pedicure kit from my linen closet and gave myself a home pedicure and I am happy to report my feet look and feel much better.

I don’t know the cost of professional pedicures these days but I am sure that I saved myself a heap of money by doing it myself.

You definitely saved $55 plus a tip. $6 mani SCGs (budget brand) every 2w. I was spending $60 every 2w.

          Where I live, it’s $40 to get a pedicure. I’m like no ma’am I’ll do it myself.

Never had a pedicure. Do mine my self. Had the fake nails for 2 weeks in the 90s. That was my only manicure.

I do them at least once a week.

$55 at my place and worth every penny. $45 when I don’t get polish, usually during the winter. The polish is a bonus.

I need the foot care that I can’t do myself.

                It helps with my neuropathy.

I’ve never had either a manicure or pedicure. I’m 65. Guess I’ve saved a lot.

I cut my nails and moisturize but I don’t do anything else.

$35 plus tip. I go once at the beginning of the summer because they can make them look so much prettier than I can.

I take in my own polish so I can do touch ups with the color.

I always do my own manicures and pedicures and they look great!

Any suggestions on how to make toenails with a mild fungus look better?

Aside from financial cost, the threat of a fungal infection is more than I’m willing to risk.

I wish I could do mine, somehow I don’t do well. I gave up going to a salon because of higher costs & uncaring attention.

                            Just naturally now.

I’ve been doing my own also. I’m not about to take a chance and get a fungus on my feet.

I don’t trust their cleaning practices.

so, where I’m from it cost $80 and a lot of people go once a month. But I retired from my job, and I just had so many extra expenses coming in just everything happened to us at once.

I decided to not get pedicures anymore and do my own and I’ve saved a ton of money. And I also used to go to the hairdresser every three weeks when I was working full-time.

And I have stopped that because their prices went sky highand I do my own hair at home now.

I experimented a little and I use ammonia free coloring .. Nobody’s told me that my hair looks bad so I guess I’m doing a good job.

The last pedicure I had was a gift card from my daughter and the pedicure person whom worked on my feet did not speak English and I kept telling her that it was hurting me.

I did this the other day after a home foot spa with tea tree oil, vinegar and hot water.

                                      Jets and bubbles felt wonderful

I do the basic pedi and with tip it’s $40
                                        Every 6 weeks.

I have wonky toenails that get painful and I can’t bend over so I really appreciate what my nail technician does for me.
