Save money on your water bill and get your hair nice and soft. I hopped in the shower and washed my hair first, conditioned it and left it in while showering.

Then rinsed it. My hair was smooth as silk.

Before I was conditioning last and standing in the shower for a minute waiting for conditioner to set in.

To save even more water I turn on the shower (not wait til the water is warm) wet my hair…turn off the water…shampoo hair…turn on water & rinse off hair…turn off water, condition hair, wash body…turn on water & rinse off everything.

This is how I have done it my whole life. Always wash and condition first and let it sit..rinse last.

a hair stylist told me that conditioner is useless if you don’t leave it in for at least 5 minutes.

I usually do the same thing, I wash with shampoo quickly and then leave the conditioner in for several minutes.

I’m usually done showering in 10 minutes total

Isn’t this how everyone does it? I keep rereading because I feel like I’m missing something.

I have sensitive skin, so I need to do face and body last to make sure the conditioner is off me.

I shave whatever needs shaved while the conditioner sits lol

The proper way to condition IS to leave it on your hair for atleast 3 minutes. It even says it on the directions.

So, you use to stand and let water run to give conditioner time to do its job?

You can save water by conditioning your hair and then soap your body while waiting for the conditioner to set in.

I’ve also always done this. It is simply common sense.

I’m going to venture a guess that your hair is pink straight? Curly hair does not like soft.

That’s good, but want to take it to the next level? Let the conditioner sit while you shower/shave/pray/cry/whatever then hit it with your regular shower temperature water and lather, do not rinse, turn the water on FULL cold and THEN rinse.

If you blow dry, follow up with cold air. Your hair will GLISTEN.

I always put the conditioner in before I shave my legs. Let it sit during that time.

I’ve always done that. Also tho, I only condition my hair 2-3 times a week but wash it almost every day.

My dermatologist also told me let dandruff shampoo stay in your hair while you’re washing your body, then rinse.
