Having walk in pantry redone with shelving. Wanted a barn door, it’s 800$. Any other suggestions? Removing the door that is currently there.

My Dad made his own faux barn door with inexpensive light weight woods. Looks awesome.

Make your own. I am not very skilled. But I you tubed it and made 2 out of 2*4. Bordered the sliding part in Amazon.

You could do a shower curtain barn door as the sliding door for the moment.

Go to a farm supply store and buy the hardware yourself.

Barn door kits are fairly cheap. It comes with the sliding rails and bolts to hang it. You can choose whatever kind of door you want. Hollow core doors from big box stores are also affordable. Hopefully you could find one that suits your style!

Buy the hardware off of Amazon and pick up a used door, your old door, or make it from some wood fit together….
