I’m looking for hearing aides any idea what I can get that are affordable? What do you find are best ?

I’m looking for recommendations on the best affordable hearing aids. There are so many options out there, from over-the-counter models to prescription ones, and I want to find something that balances quality, comfort, and price.

Ideally, I’d like a hearing aid that enhances sound clarity, reduces background noise, and has good battery life, all without breaking the bank.

If you’ve used an affordable hearing aid that worked well for you, what brand or model would you recommend?

Are there any specific features I should look for or avoid?

Also, do you have any tips on where to buy them at the best price?

      Thanks

Most places supplies batteries free for 3 yrs, they don’t last much longer then that.

$5000 minus government covers $1000 and my work covered $500

The new Apple AirPods are medical grade hearing aides from what I understand!

          Worth looking into!

I’m a 4 year hearing aid wear-er. There is no such thing as cheap or less expensive hearing aids. I paid close to $5, for mine.

I did get 3 years of free batteries. But the batteries are the least of the cost. don’t get me wrong they are worth every penny of it.

I could hardly hear a thing until I got mine and I am happy with them. But I’ve had two different audiologists tell me that they’re the end of their useful lifetime.

I have no plans to replace them (I just can’t afford to do that).

I’ll use these until they fall apart and then I will check into some of the $300 to $500 hearing amplifiers/aids that are advertised now.

Get more than one quote before you buy. The hearing aid place recommended by the ENT doctor cost two thousand dollars more than the place we wound up buying from, that was called Earzlink.

It is in the Springfield Ohio (US) area.

Using Anthem insurance we got the first pair for like three hundred dollars.

The brand of hearing aid is HCS, Hearing Care Solutions. You could call that company and see if there is a vendor in your area.

I paid $1600 at Costco 3 years ago. I promptly went and lost them, and Costco replaced them for free, no questions asked.

Now it has been 3 years and one of them isn’t charging properly.

I brought it in to be fixed. Two weeks later they told me it couldn’t be repaired, and they gave me a brand new one instead.

Can’t beat that service! My husband spent $7000 from a hearing aid center and has to pay for maintenance, repairs and upkeep every time he goes back.

Costco does all of that for free! I can’t recommend Costco highly enough.

Costco. I paid almost 6,000.00 for my first pair over10 yrs ago. I got new ones from Costco for 1,600.00 last year.

They bluetooth with my phone, and TV.

                  I love them.

Costco is great! They are not cheap but great quality and being rechargeable saves a ton of money buying batteries on the back end.

I was just reading reviews on some hearing aides on Amazon. Most have a 30 day return policy so I think I’m going to order there.

Have the audiologist determine the best hearing aid for your loss. They also have recommendations for assistance or best deals available.

Your audiologist is very knowledgeable and you can trust them better than a company that just wants to sell you a product.

I am an audiologist. Please check through your local healthcare/college/hospital/educated professionals.

You may get help from your insurance and if not, there may be programs to help you get them in an affordable way.

Devices that are programmed for you, based on your test results as well as confirmation testing in office, are going to give you your best chance at maximizing remaining hearing capabilities.

Also, studies show mid range products work just as well as the higher end products.

All devices come with a trial period, legally. Hope it all works out for you! Best wishes!

In the UK we can have them on the NHS and they’re great but many people are still choosing to pay.

Walmart or Costco and I bought 4 pair on sale from medca. They have so far lasted me over two years.

Research I have done (and experienced) is the ones that fit over your ear you are less inclined to lose.

I had a pair of inside the ear for $180 that I lost one somewhere so the other one wouldn’t charge properly so $180 lost.

The medca ones I have now are good. Other research claims the rechargeable batteries last about 3 years and I find that to be true.

Where are you based. I’m in the UK and went to Boots good value and aftercare and 12 months’ free credit.

I am told Kaiser Health has reasonable rates and one does not need to be a member.

I was told if you have a job that requires you to hear that the workforce can help you get good hearing aids for a discount or sometimes free

My husband bought his at Sam’s; he says the best fit he’s ever had; excellent customer service & more than half of any other vendor.
