MelissaPopcorn popped in an air popper in the microwave with a spritz of spray oil and seasoning.
Also, good for weight loss.
JudePopcorn. We bought a silicone popcorn popper that goes in the microwave and makes perfect popcorn.
So much cheaper than microwave popcorn bags.
EllenI like the cracker barrel cheese sticks and some saltines and a hand full of blue berries as snacks.
Or a bowl of plain yogurt with granola and a bit of honey, or apple slices, or a tangerine, or cucumber slices.
I lean more towards actual food as a snack as opposed to candy or chips.
DarlaGrapes – 1 bag of red seedless grapes will last me a work week. I eat about 8-10.
Blueberries: divide into 1/4 cup servings and they are about $1 each. Blueberries are among the healthiest of options.
My go to snack or lunch at work is: Oikos Triple Zero yogurt. The 4 pack is just over a $ 1 per cup.
The protein makes this my snack of choice.
Popcorn – this is our go to snack at home
Crackers, cheese slices, and pepperoni. When you cut your own cheese it makes it more economical.
I don’t do this often as it’s higher in carbs and fat than I would prefer, but if I need more substance than I will take this to work.
Nuts: Almonds make a great snack. You can add them to a trial mix for variety.
Apples: Apples score for being a portable and nutritious option.
Our geographic area has wonderful Apple choices for each season.
MarshaI make my own yogurt. I have a six ounce jar before bed, sometimes with a little honey or blueberries, And sometimes a make a batch of granola and sprinkle some on it.
I don’t do the granola too often, because it does make me gain weight.
But, it’s good, and not expensive.
HollyCucumber slices, celery or baby carrots with a side of thousand island dressing for some dip! (All from Aldi of course)
AllisonI make popcorn on the stove. No need to buy a special popcorn cooker. I just pour popcorn into a pot and cover it with oil.
I have a glass top stove and don’t need to shake the pot while it’s popping.
I used to do that when I had a regular stove.
AprilI have fresh fruit on my desk at work alternating by week oranges, strawberries, blueberries, grapes
AndreaIn-the -shell sunflower seeds are a good nutritious snack.
They are hard to eat fast, which keeps the calories down too.
HeatherWe buy nuts out of the bulk bins at Winco. Way cheaper than bagged
