What are your favorite budget-friendly snacks? I’m asking because I want to know what options are available at Dollar Tree.

I’m curious to explore affordable options, especially snacks similar to what you’d find at Dollar Tree. Looking for creative, budget-friendly suggestions to try out.

Popcorn popped in an air popper in the microwave with a spritz of spray oil and seasoning.

        Also, good for weight loss.

Popcorn. We bought a silicone popcorn popper that goes in the microwave and makes perfect popcorn.

So much cheaper than microwave popcorn bags.

I like the cracker barrel cheese sticks and some saltines and a hand full of blue berries as snacks.

Or a bowl of plain yogurt with granola and a bit of honey, or apple slices, or a tangerine, or cucumber slices.

I lean more towards actual food as a snack as opposed to candy or chips.

Grapes – 1 bag of red seedless grapes will last me a work week. I eat about 8-10.

Blueberries: divide into 1/4 cup servings and they are about $1 each. Blueberries are among the healthiest of options.

My go to snack or lunch at work is: Oikos Triple Zero yogurt. The 4 pack is just over a $ 1 per cup.

The protein makes this my snack of choice.

Popcorn – this is our go to snack at home
              Crackers, cheese slices, and pepperoni.

When you cut your own cheese it makes it more economical.

I don’t do this often as it’s higher in carbs and fat than I would prefer, but if I need more substance than I will take this to work.

Nuts: Almonds make a great snack. You can add them to a trial mix for variety.

Apples: Apples score for being a portable and nutritious option.

Our geographic area has wonderful Apple choices for each season.

I make my own yogurt. I have a six ounce jar before bed, sometimes with a little honey or blueberries, And sometimes a make a batch of granola and sprinkle some on it.

I don’t do the granola too often, because it does make me gain weight.

But, it’s good, and not expensive.

I make popcorn on the stove. No need to buy a special popcorn cooker. I just pour popcorn into a pot and cover it with oil.

I have a glass top stove and don’t need to shake the pot while it’s popping.

I used to do that when I had a regular stove.

In-the -shell sunflower seeds are a good nutritious snack.

They are hard to eat fast, which keeps the calories down too.

We buy nuts out of the bulk bins at Winco. Way cheaper than bagged
