What are some things I can make requiring lots of milk or cream. I bought too much
I recently ended up with a large amount of milk and cream in my fridge, and I’m looking for creative ideas on how to use them up before they go bad.
Besides the usual things like smoothies or pouring it into coffee, what are some delicious dishes, drinks, or desserts I can make with milk or cream?
I’m open to trying everything from simple, quick recipes to more elaborate meals.
Any tips or personal favorites would be much appreciated!
BrendaPotato soup, broccoli and cheese soup, yogurt, custard. Milk freezes well, too.
Just pour out a little to leave room for expansion.

Creamy cheesy broccoli soup
Escalloped potatoesConniefreeze them. You just have to shake them really well when you thaw them out.
MaryFreeze it in ice cube trays. Then store it in ziplock bags. For when you only need a small amount for recipes.
Otherwise you can make quiche, puddings, hot chocolate, bread pudding, corn chowder, rice pudding, French toast …
And now I’ve made my self hungry.
HelenCustards as well as the puddings. I deliberately buy extra milk during winter; freeze it.
CarlYou can freeze up some of the milk. The cream will get clumpy when it thaws.
NancyPotato soup, mac & cheese, sausage gravy, creamed chipped beef, milk gravy over biscuits with scrambled eggs, clam chowder, quiche are just a few things that come to mind.
Pudding, pudding pies, rice pudding.
KarmenHeavy whipping cream makes butter. You can freeze it too

cereal and milk for breakfastJenniferI make cheese. Warm the milk to just a simmer, add a splash of lemon juice, take off the heat. Stir so curds form.
Rinse well, drain in a kitchen towel.add salt and any seasonings
JackieI’ve made yogurt out of both milk and cream. If made out of heavy cream it has almost no carbs, just high fat, but it really tastes good.
HeatherUse in place of milk with a packet of instant pudding. Whip it until it’s almost whipped cream, then add pudding mix and whip a little more.
Heavenly.
