I have several used ink cartridges that I’d like to recycle, but I don’t shop at Staples and would prefer not to go there just for recycling.

Does anyone know of other good places or services that accept used ink cartridges for recycling?

I’d ideally like a convenient, eco-friendly option—whether that’s a drop-off location at another store, a mail-in program, or even a local community center or library that collects them.

I’m in the U.S. if that helps with suggestions. I’d also be interested in any programs that might offer some kind of reward or store credit, but that’s not a must—just trying to dispose of them responsibly.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I’d learn to shop at Staples by setting up an online account, turn in your cartridges, and spend the money you earned by turning them in for paper towels, etc.

If not, the Office Max program works great and has a better variety of things to buy.

Sometimes I pick up free ink cartridges on FB Marketplace.

I dropped off some today at Office Max. You might also try Best Buy.

I know it’s similar, but Office Depot has a program. If you make a $10 purchase when recycling, they’ll credit you $2 per cartridge.

Obviously, you can just drop them off as well.
