We use wool dryer balls for our laundry. They work pretty good. There is still a little static, but it’s much better than not having anything and dryer sheets are not only expensive but bad for the environment!

Meh. I think they help some. But I find them annoying to be honest. They are always falling out of my dryer as I try to take clothes out.

I haven’t used fabric softener or dryer sheets for about 5 years. I use 7 wool dryer balls and 2 textured silicone ones to remove hair. I have long hair that sheds badly.

I also add 1 cup of white vinegar in both wash and rinse, too. Love the results.

I have used four wool balls, for about six years. And I do use liquid fabric softener on select clothing, maybe I use one medium bottle a year.

I use the silicone balls and they work well. We have 3 dogs and I have long hair so I throw in a dryer sheet as well.

I use both (2 silicone, 4 wool, and yes, I know that’s a lot of balls in each load) and they’re great. I sometimes still throw in 1/4 of a dryer sheet with certain loads just because I like the scent, but the balls alone get the job done perfectly well as far as softening/static/wrinkles/pilling.

I think the wool balls actually do a better job softening than dryer sheets do.

I haven’t tried them. Dryer sheets are in the One Dollar isle at Dollar General. You get 15. I didn’t use them for years but now can spare the dollar. They’re a luxury, not a necessity.

We stopped using dryer sheets years ago. Allergies are much better. Put vinegar in the rinse cycle and just use a tablespoon or two of detergent in each wash load.

Use them for years…..they work well. Also, I use vinegar in the wash cycle. I can’t do bleach or fabric softeners due to allergies.

I don’t really use the dryer anymore. I’ll throw towels and bedspreads in, but I saw the reduction in gas and electric with line drying last year and I’ve been sold since.

Plus the smell fresh for weeks. I didn’t know the dryer sapped them so much.
