I’ve noticed that hospital socks are often thick, comfortable, and have non-slip grips, which makes me wonder—does anyone else keep and reuse them at home?
Whether it’s for lounging, extra warmth, or even repurposing them for something else, I’m curious to hear if others do the same.
Let me know your thoughts!
EllenYes. When you bring them home, wash them at hottest level.
You never know what germs are lurking in hospitals.
SherryOf course I had a pair of $16,000 hospital socks. Still got them I think…
Laurame. Occasionally my feet get cold and those socks warm them up.
CindyI keep a basket at my door for visitors as I ask them to remove their shoes.
NolaNo because I can’t stand them! They itch and are ill fitting. One of the few things I don’t reuse.
They are just awful.
GlassYou want to put the grippy strips on the bottom of your feet…or you might slip and go back to the hospital…
KangaI had red ones on today. Would have taken a photo but they are in the washing machine now!
JennyYes, they prevent me from slipping when walking on tile (my skin on my feet is so dry)!
JoyAlways. I only get rid of them when I’ve washed em so many times the grippy stuff is cracking and breaking off haha
CathyI have several pair. I saw a meme where someone who had been on a 72 hour hold said: still taking my meds.
No grippy socks today
MadelineYes, just brought a pair home yesterday from my total shoulder reversal replacement!
SandyNo. Once in the floor at a hospital they go in the trash. Germiest place ever!
