I upgraded to the plus 2 years ago and this last year got $120 in rewards, so basically membership was free. You get a percentage back of what you spend and I get dog food, laundry soap, dish soap, food, just lots of household stuff there so I get a lot of cash back.

If you get the blue val-pak envelope alot of times there is a code in there for $25 membership.

You can get a “new” or cheaper membership by using a different email to register when they have a promo. I think you will need to use one that you haven’t used at Sam’s Club in six months, but I can’t verify that.

If you just have the regular membership let it expire then go to membership desk and ask to open a new membership.

There are zero perks to holding onto the same membership year after year, they usually have perks for opening a new membership.
