Are there any online shopping stores that can fully replace Amazon, or perhaps a combination of stores that together offer a similar experience?

I’m considering canceling my Amazon Prime subscription and looking for alternatives that provide a good selection, competitive prices, and reliable shipping.

      Any recommendations?

I am not missing Amazon shopping as much as I expected. More Costco, but just less impulse shopping.

I don’t miss Amazon. everything I end up getting from Amazon comes from China these days.

          I use walmart mostly now.

It’s tricky. It depends really on what you get from amazon, how to replace it.

I’ve been looking at alternatives, such as how I buy a lot of books through amazon (as much as I’d love to support independent bookshops, I live in an area where it takes 30 minutes to drive to the nearest Barnes & Noble OR Half Price Books, let alone an independent book store.) And since many books that I buy are either for use in the classroom, or for my kids…

I see it as thumbing my nose at the people that want to kill education, that they are selling me the books that I’ll use to make sure that kids have access to education.

I don’t see the point in switching to another online service honestly.

I’d rather focus on knowing what the independent stores around me are, and then seeing if they are selling something I already buy and if so making them my go-to option.

I use Walmart and Sam’s for online far more than Amazon. Communications about orders is excellent and delivery is 2/3 days if not less; no clue how that happens.

Haven’t had to do a return with Walmart but with my + membership, supposedly I can return from home, items will be picked up.

Amazon prime is worth it for the incredible convenience, return policy etc.

Tried Walmart and the poorly packaged products always arrive damaged and returns are a nightmare.

Depends on what you’re looking for. I don’t imagine it’s easy going cold turkey off Amazon so have been scaling back one at a time.

I get most foods, soaps, detergents ect from Thrive market online.

For random things I still prefer target first over Walmart. Clothing, Facebook marketplace, thrift stores or real stores.

If you plan well you can get ahead of the other novelty/seasonal stuff by planning ahead.

Just realizing you may need to spend an extra buck and get it a few days later by using the little guys online or in store, but it’s for the greater good.

But other completely random things you may need to stick with Amazon for certain needs.

And I’m keeping KU to support the indie authors that are absolutely suffering with loss of income due to everyone dropping Amazon.

What do you use Amazon for? We cancelled our Amazon account in 2018 and it hasn’t been an inconvenience at all.

I have had very good luck with Walmart+. As far as returns, you have a huge window that you can just drop at a Walmart store so I have done that the few times I needed to do a return.

The items Costco has are also sold on Amazon but cost more.
Walmart, Ebay or Target might be the best alternative if you want more all encompassing.

Otherwise, Chewy is good for pet supplies, Better World or Thriftbooks for books, etc….

I have nothing to offer, as I rarely shop online. I certainly don’t think Bezos needs more money either.

I began boycotting Amazon several years ago. I found 95 percent of what I need on ebay.

I found places like Marc’s and Discount Drug Mart around me are great and much cheaper. Wherever you are, find larger local own stores.

Costco is also a great one.

I’m trying to start a co-op with friends to split Costco bulk

I’m not renewing my Prime membership. I’ve suspended it. I have read if it’s a 35.00, it will be delivered free.

So, we’ll see. I do have Walmart +. I love it! I use it almost every other day.

I have never had prime. It’s unnecessary when all you have to do is spend 35 for free shipping.

If I want items, I add to cart. When I actually need something, I look to see what’s in my cart that will add up to 35. Honestly, most of the time I don’t want anything bad enough

so, I actually save a ton of money that way.

What do you usually buy on amazon? For certain items I find that the price is cheaper at other places. For example with groceries for the most part it’s cheaper for me just to go to Walmart.

Certain items I look for on Facebook Marketplace because I don’t mind buying them used and you can save 50% for something that was previously owned by somebody else.

The only item I can’t seem to find cheaper on a regular basis is for books that are new. But I usually shop at my local bookstore for books because I’d rather support them than amazon, even if it means I got to pay a little bit more.

My kids love going there and the owners of my local store are really friendly, they even put the zombie finger puppets next to the brain finger puppets after my daughter complained about the zombies not having food.

I’ve never had a prime account with Amazon. I’m almost always able to get shipping free.

I don’t stream, so that’s not an advantage for me
I don’t know what types of things you need, but, please don’t take this the wrong way just offering an idea is it possible that you actually just need less stuff?

I canceled prime and still use Amazon just as much. I just only buy when I have enough in my cart to get the free shipping.

We cancelled our Amazon Prime. We spend less money on there and if we purchase I thinks it’s 35.00 or more we get free shipping.

So, I feel like I save money by not buying so much impulsive buys and most things I buy are 35.00 or more anyway but if not I can throw in some other nessecity to make it 35.00 instead of paying the monthly membership fee.

I loathe walmart, but amazon is pretty much the same.
I live in bufu, so I used amazon out of convenience, but I am using the specific websites for the things I want.

now that the6 all send receipts and package tracking, I can keep track of orders just fine, which was one of the reasons to use amazon.

I canceled all my subscriptions, canceled unlimited, and will cancel prime as soon as I locate dad’s protein drink in stock.

                                            bonus, I’m saving money.

temu and shien sell the same exact stuff as amazon and just like Amazon it’s made in China and even packaged the same

I have had good luck with Walmart+. I do still buy things from Amazon as sometimes they come quicker and I use Amazon video.

If you are dropping it however I suggest Walmart +. And if you have an American Express card it might pay for your membership, it does mine.

Our Walmart has a gas station that we get $.10 off per gallon.
