Hi everyone, I’m looking for recommendations on where to buy good-quality Android phone chargers. I usually get them from Walmart for around \$6–\$7, but they don’t seem to last very long.
I’d really appreciate any suggestions for reliable brands or stores (either online or in-person) where I can find chargers that are affordable but also more durable.
I’m on a tight budget, so I’m trying to find something cost-effective that won’t break after a few weeks of use.
If you’ve had good experiences with certain brands or places to shop, I’d love to hear about it.
Please keep the comments respectful — I know everyone has different opinions and budgets, and I’m just trying to make the most of mine.
Thanks in advance!
AnnI find that buying cords longer than I think I need helps with the length of time between replacements.
Also, some are reinforced at the plug, which helps also. Mostly get from Amazon
EricaEvery so often, I’ll post a wish in my local Buy Nothing group for these.
Many people are more than happy to declutter their junk drawers, or share their multiple extras that will not be used.
MeganWe buy from Amazon. We purchased this 5 pack two years ago, and then again a year ago (so we have chargers for the house and cars for most devices) and we still have all 10 chargers going strong- even with kids who don’t exactly treat things delicately.
JadedI buy anker chargers from Amazon. They last until I damage it and if I damage it, it’s because I rolled over my desk chair over the cord.
I’ve had other brands break in a short time
AngelaAre you getting the braided ones? That was a game changer for us. I haven’t found that the brand really makes a difference.
I buy the cheapest I can find…Amazon, Walmart, Five Below, even Temu.
I don’t think we’ve ever had one wear out or break since we switched to the braided kind.
MoseleyWe’ve been very happy with the ones we get from TEMU. They’re the same as ones you’d get on Amazon just not paying the inflated price.
AnisaFollowing because I bought ones that would charge SOOO slow, then spend $35 on one that was FAST but the cord stopped working after a while.
JenniferI bought my last heavy duty one from a truck stop 2 years ago, and it’s still charging my phone
