I have a pair of short boots with a side zipper and the tab you use to zip them up broke. What can I do to fix them?
LoriTake them to a shoe repair person, they can add a tab.
StephanySame thing happened to me and these worked like a charm and looked great. No one would even know.
ElizabethIf the loop to the zipper is still in tact, put a jump ring with a few beads on it. You can even use an old earring.
MollyYou should be able to find a zipper tab replacement pretty inexpensive at any fabric or craft store like Michael’s or Joann’s. Amazon if you don’t have luck locally.
Worst case, you can take it to a local tailor/seamstress but that will likely by pretty expensive for a fairly easy DIY repair. Your local dry cleaner may even be able to repair it.
B.T.W. Don’t miss: Lots of clothes that I no longer wear – What would be the best way to sell these?
CassandraGo to a fabric store and you can get parts to replace the part that broke. I have had to replace this part before on clothing.
